Have you ever watched a news broadcast? OK, that's a dumb question. Have you ever stayed on a channel to hear the next story after a commercial? Most likely you stayed to hear the story because of the way it was lead into. Jeff Brady is an expert at getting your attention, and keeping it. Jeff will be teach a class at the 2011 DFW REI Expo called, “Pitch, The Story That Sells”. Now, when you hear that, you might think he is trying to sell you something. Nope! Jeff doesn't have a book, CD, or training event to sell you. Just an idea. He wants to help you learn to promote yourself in a manner that sells you. You have to know what to say, and when to say it.
Jeff is a broadcast news veteran with almost 20 years of journalism experience in three states and five separate markets. He's covered foreign wars, Presidential election campaigns, the Space Shuttle program and the Superbowl. His last eight years in TV were spent at WFAA in Dallas as an anchor and reporter. While there, he led an award-winning newscast at 5pm which dominated local ratings and served as a strong lead-in to ABC's World News with Charlie Gibson.
Jeff recently retired from TV news to launch Brady Media Group, aÂ Dallas-based publicity, consulting and digital content development agency. He is the founder and CEO.
Before beginning his media career, Jeff served in the first Gulf War as a U.S. Marine Corps Captain stationed in the Middle East.
He now lives in Dallas with his wife Wesley and three children.
